HELLO! ANYBODY HOME?

You stand out among colleagues and cut a fine impression. The kids are great at school, moving on with determination. Your files are in place, the food is too! The kids are learning guitar and some pottery too. Week to week, month to month, you all are mostly busy; I wonder if you ever get time to even look around for me. I talk to the plants when I water. I talk to the walls when I clean. The duster is my closest friend. And so is the sewing machine. But I wish they could talk back, perhaps hug me sometime. Wipe a tear or two – or just ask me if I am fine.
